Since 2002, Josh and Pamela Beadel have lived and worked right here in Downtown Long Beach. The Breakfast Bar was born out of years spent in family-owned restaurants and local hangouts—the kind of places where food is made from scratch, drinks are poured with intention, and nobody’s a stranger for long.

The Breakfast Bar is where Josh’s love of craft beverages meets Pamela’s deep restaurant chops, all in service of one simple idea: bring people together over food and drink that actually means something. Many of our recipes come straight from the family—passed down from grandmothers and great aunts, to moms, and now to us. These are the dishes we grew up on, cooked the way grandma would (with maybe a little more personality), and made in-house whenever possible using quality ingredients we’re proud of.

We like our comfort food bold, our drinks well-crafted, and our hospitality genuine. No fuss. No ego. Just good food, good people, and a room that feels alive the moment you walk in.

We’re deeply rooted in Long Beach and believe hospitality is more than what’s on the plate—it’s how you show up for your guests, your team, and your community. Around here, family isn’t just who you’re related to. It’s everyone who pulls up a chair.
